What a cool concept! The ability to print your favourite images from your smartphone in polaroid form. The Fujifilm Instax Share SP-1. Firstly, this thing does not come cheap. When I bought this printer it was retailing in an Australia store called JB Hi-Fi for around $300 but is now selling for $229.
Many of my favourite images are stored on my iPhone 5, so I was really excited by the idea to be able to print them off almost instantly AND in the adorable form of a polaroid. You may be thinking that it would be much cheaper to go into your local department store and print off your images that way and you're right, however I am lazy and will NEVER do this.
I really love the idea of this but a major downside comes at the quality conversion. Do not expect a high quality image to print from the smartphone printer. As you can see above in a few of my printed images, you lose much of the quality from the original image, which is such a bummer given the price of the smartphone printer.
I still love this item though and will continue to use it. If you do not want to spend such a large amount on a smartphone printer but love the idea of polaroids, the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 camera is right up your alley for around $99. I love bringing my polaroid camera to parties and sharing it around with my friends.
Have you tried this product? Please give me your thoughts x

Hello all, it's time for my monthly favourites for the month of march! Firstly, I can't believe we are already into April, this year is going beyond quickly. Summer is over and within a few months I will be graduating from university. *gasp* The products I am going to mention today have definitely been a staple for me in the past month, so let's get into it.

1. Nars blusher in 'Outlaw'

I picked this bad boy up around the end of February and I have barely used a different blush shade since. It is a deeper rose-berry shade with a slight shimmer, which is exactly what I was looking for going into Autumn. It doesn't apply too heavily but is easily build-able which makes applying it a dream.  All-in-all a great product!

2. MAC matte eye shadow in  'Fig 1'

I think purple eye shadow shades are just gorgeous. 'Fig 1' by MAC is a dark plum shade that is completely matte. It looks superb on the outer half of the eye or blended into the crease, a perfect shade going into winter. If you are in the market for a plum eye shadow, definitely check this one out!

3.Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner
If you are new to liquid liner then definitely check out the Master Precise by Maybelline. The felt-tip style applicator is super thin and very precise, which makes it difficult to make mistakes with. You can create a thin liner or build it up to a much thicker line, the Master Precise is super quick and easy to use. It stays on for most of the day on my skin but is also easy to remove. I love this product~

4. Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation

To begin with, I picked up this foundation in a 40% off sale woo hoo! I am a great lover of light coverage foundations, so when I saw this in the drugstore I had to pick it up. I am in the shade 10 porcelain ivory. It is a very runny liquid that you apply from a dropper-style applicator (I apply this straight onto my face from the applicator). This foundation can be built up to a solid medium coverage and gives a skin-like satin finish (borderline matte). The only downside of this I have found is that it can cling to dry patches, so if you have super dry skin you might want to stay clear.

5. Lip Combo: MAC lip pencil in 'Boldly Bare' + MAC lipstick in 'Velvet Teddy'

I am 100% in love with these two products, they create the perfect nude lip for my skin tone (and the perfect Kylie Jenner lip *cringe*). Boldy Bare is a great creamy lip pencil that glides onto the lip effortlessly and is perfect for over-drawing your lips slightly to create the illusion of bigger lips. It is a warm nude colour with brown and pink undertones. Velvet Teddy is a matte formula lipstick and is pretty much identical to the colour of Boldy Bare, maybe a little less pinky. Although Velvet Teddy is a matte formula, it is very easy to work with on the lips and provides a gorgeous finish. Also a shout out to my super pale friends, i know how hard it is to pick a nice nude for your skin tone, so definitely give these products a try.

Retails at: $17.95 Priceline Australia

After eyeing them off for a while in the drugstore, I have finally gotten my hands on a Rimmel Provocalips liquid lipstick! I picked up the shade 550 'Play With Fire' which in the tube looks pretty much like a classic red colour with cooler tones. Red lipsticks are probably my favourite shade to wear, so it was pretty typical of me to pick this shade to buy!

Firstly, can we please have a moment of silence for the packaging, the design is super adorable which I admit was one of the draws for me.
Liquid lipsticks can be a real mess to apply, especially if you are new to them, so a good tip is to use a lip liner to outline your lips before you begin (a good lip liner for this shade would be 'Cherry' by MAC.) My finished result can be seen in the photo above, along with a swatch on my hand. It comes with a dofer applicator, much like a gloss.

The Provocalips lipsticks are a two-step process, the first being the colour application and the second step is a 'lock and shine' gloss. Without the second step, the finish of this liquid lipstick is quite matte, however once the second step has been applied, it becomes more of a glossy finish. If you are a more of a matte-finish person, I am sure you would be fine without adding the gloss!

It claims that it can provide 16 hour long wear, which I have not completely tested because I don't think I have ever been in a position of wearing a lipstick for 16 hours long. However, I wore this out to lunch earlier today and it was almost in perfect condition after i finished eating (this is saying a lot since I am not the most elegant eater...).
This lipstick would be a good choice if you were going on a date or having a big night out with friends because in both scenarios it can be a pain to keep having to reapply!

Another point I would like to make is that the colour is super opaque, so one layer has pretty much got you covered. Being a lover of opaque lipsticks myself, this is absolutely amaze-balls.

The only real downsides I have found from using my Rimmel Provocalips is that later on in the day my lips can begin to feel quite dry- which isn't a great feeling. However, the major annoyance I have found comes at removal time, because it literally will not budge! I can put up with this though if it means having my lipstick last long throughout the day.

For the price this is definitely a must-have in your collection if you love liquid lipsticks or want to try them out! Opaque colour and long-lasting wear, you can't go wrong!

So I am completely in love with the look of trousers at the moment, whether to wear on a cold day or a night out, I don't think you can go wrong! I love the look of trousers paired with a cute pair of heels, both casual and smart-looking at the same time and let's face it, extreme comfort!
I have just purchased these two pairs pictured above, both from missguided. Here are the links!

I am way too excited for these babies to arrive *love heart eyes*

An Introduction

Hello beauty and fashions lovers, my name is Brooke and I am so excited to be starting this blog. After, watching many YouTubers and reading many blogs I have finally gained the motivation to start my blogging journey (also a shout out to my current favourite binge show, Gossip Girl, for giving me further inspiration).
So to begin with, here is a bit about me:
I am 21 years old and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I love everything about the city; the chaos, the style, the food, which is what makes going to university in the heart of Adelaide one of my favourite passions.
I study commerce on the way to being an accountant but hold a strong passion for fashion and beauty- which will be the basis for this blog among general lifestyle posts.
I hope you guys can join me on this journey and much love for reading!
